Ahead of the June 13, 2023 date for the election of new presiding officers for the 10th House of Representatives, the ranks of those rooting for the mergence of Hon.
Tajudeen Abbas as the Speaker of the Assembly rose Thursday as a fourth-term member-elect, Hon. Abiodun Akinlade, threw his weight behind the aspirant.
According to him: “Abbas possesses the experience and knowledge to steer the ship of the 10th Assembly to legislative excellence. I call on my colleagues to support him for a rancour-free Assembly.” He said the appointment reflected the confidence reposed in the Speaker’s experience and competence by the President.
